Welcome!
Are you looking for childbirth classes that are empowering, modern, and can help you have the birth you desire?
You can find all of that right here!
Whether you are a first time parent or have had children before, childbirth classes are for anyone wanting an informed birth. I am here to provide you with the education, guidance, and the tools you need to birth your way. Our classes cover pregnancy from your second trimester until labor, the labor and delivery process, and the postpartum period. I also integrate movements for comfort throughout each class and have a special section dedicated to movement during your labor process at the end of class. Classes include a Preparing for Birth journal so you are able to review and keep track of your pregnancy. Childbirth classes are set up for you and your partner or primary support person and I highly encourage them to attend every class. We not only focus on the mother (birthing person) to be, but also the partner and how they are an integral part to your birthing process.
Every Preparing for Birth class also includes a virtual Prepared Infant Feeding course for those wishing to breastfeed.
My courses are focused on birthing within the hospital system, whether medicated or un-medicated. I will cover induction processes and “natural” childbirth in every class. These classes are not tailored towards any specific hospital but tailored to birthing the way YOU want too. I will talk about how to advocate for yourself or your partner, how to talk to your medical team, and how to create a birth plan that opens the lines of communication with your birth team.
This is an amazing journey you are on and I hope I can be just a small part of that journey.
“When you change the way you view birth, the way you birth will change.”

About Me.
Hi! My name is Kathryn. I am a wife, mother of two beautiful girls, and a nurse. I have been in the birth world for 13 years as a high risk labor and delivery nurse. I love teaching families about the birthing process and have realized how important it is to be prepared for your birth. As much as I love caring for my patients at the bedside, I continuously see that there is a lack of education being provided to patients in the office and even with hospital based childbirth classes. I decided it was time to make a change and am now a certified childbirth educator and doula. I want to take my passion of educating out of the hospital and provide families with knowledge to advocate for the birth they want.
My own birthing experiences also opened my eyes as to how little I knew about the postpartum period and the changes that happen which is. They are another reason why I decided to pursue becoming a childbirth educator. Postpartum is a challenging time and many are not prepared. Maternal mental health disorders are rarely spoken about but one of the most common illnesses in the postpartum period. My childbirth classes will cover how to navigate this new period, when to seek help, and gives tools to your partner on how to support you during this major change.
